Danger! Beware of My Shark Bag
Thursday, June 30th, 2011The hot sun shining in the sky is a good reminder that the summer comes. When it comes to the reminder, we should talk about Larissa Hadjio. The handbags she designed show us that there are many gifted designers in the world. I like these unique and chic bags from the MAY+SASA Technology Collection very much.
The MAY+SASA Technology Collection is the most special accessory collection in this season. It is a series of underwater creatures, constructed in leather and non-endangered Tilapia skin. They make use of traditional “Swiss Zip technology” and are delicately lined with hand printed cotton. This collection includes six underwater species – oyster, squid, hammerhead shark, shrimp, monkfish and carp.
Larissa, a girl who grew up in London, studied Fine Art at Central St Martins and has been living and working in London ever since. Her work completely represents the final charm for nowadays’ savvy, left field and brave connoisseur.
This London-based artist and designer talked about the details of the brand. She said, “You always need to carry something with you. A wonderful bag makes a trip down the road more exciting. The MAY+SASA Technology collection has one foot set deep in the playful side of avant garde, and the other balances this with a strong ethos of high quality and ready to wear.”
Employing a special 3D pattern technique – a reverse origami, she just adds her own innovation. Cooperating with the follow designer, Maymanah Georgiou, Larissa made a special fashion statement with these fabulous and funny bags. Do you love them?
